GARDENING OUR GRIEF: WEEK 5

GOG+-+GRID+POST+(1).jpeg

Come back to a greater sense of aliveness through tending your grief!

Gardening Our Grief helps those of us struggling to cope with the multitude of complex losses of this chaotic time to feel, express, and integrate the intense emotions of grief by teaching a robust grief tending tool kit in a compassionate, immersive community space.

Are you chronically anxious and depressed or are you merely living in the throes of late stage capitalism within a culture that fetishizes happiness on a burning planet hurtling through the universe? Yeah, me too.

There’s no cure for grief.

It’s not pathological.

It’s a perfectly healthy response to the powerlessness of loss & change.

This is not a statement against receiving professional mental health care to support one's mental wellbeing. On the contrary, get the support that's meaningful to you, whatever that looks like.

This is to say that the "problem" is bigger than any one of us.

Grief is not just for death. As members of an interconnected living world, we get to feel our feelings about all the chaos, trauma, and sorrow in the collective field.

We get to feel the sorrows of the world, with the world.

In fact, grieving can increase our capacity for meaningful action.

Grief becomes unbearable when we’re isolated in it.

We can’t let go of the past without grieving it. Nostalgia looks back in longing. It says, “we can’t feel good again without once was.”

Grief says, “what once was is now past.” Once we teach our bodies that we can be trusted to honor the pain of our loss, that we can be held and supported in our tenderness, we begin to grow capacity to be with what is now.

This is where our greater sense of aliveness comes in. This is where our joy and gratitude live. We access the full range of the human experience not through bypassing the pain but through feeling it and honoring it.

Your grief wants to be satisfied. It does not want to drown you. It wants to be felt. Attended to. It wants you to know your experience matters. It wants to be free.

Gardening Our Grief is an 8 week container space that includes:

The cost is $500 with payment plans available and scholarship options for our BIPOC, trans, queer, differently abled, and under-resourced community members. Threshold Doula is embracing a reparational pricing structure as a path to bringing balance to the inequitable distribution of wealth and resources. This is an effort on our part to lift up a prayer for balance & reciprocity in the communities we serve, to live into a new dream of how we relate to the resources that make our lives possible, and to tend to the threshold of systems of harm within late-stage capitalism. We are committed to providing access to support + care for our BIPOC, trans, queer, differently abled, and under-resourced community members. If you need support in making this work accessible to you PLEASE REACH OUT for a promo code.

Bonus: add two 1:1 grief coaching 90 minute sessions for an additional $150. Many of us find it hard to feel safe in group spaces. If our trust has been broken, if our sense of secure attachment has been ruptured, having some one on one time before, between, or after group sessions can really support our attachment within the community and our integration of grief.
